MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 1275 Gearbox front cover
The gearbox front cover is the variety with just a scroll, does anyone have a version with a proper seal for sale or a suggestion where to obtain one? |

I'd prefer a used one at those prices! |

I think all the repro ones have a seal. |

If you have access to a lathe, it is possible to open the hole out and add a lip seal. |

Try Heathrow Transmissions, may be cheaper than Peter May. Same modification. |

After searching, around the cheapest option is to send it to Australia for rework! For the other gearbox rebuild bits I did a shopping basket comparison between Leacy and Moss. Leacy came out 25% cheaper AND has free shipping whereas Moss shipping costs are additional. So that made Leacy 35% cheaper on the basket. |
