MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 1500 efi on the rollers again
Hi to all those that still follow progress on my 1500 efi project (Willy - I'm thinking of you!). Hope you are all keeping well.
Latest numbers from the rollers are in... 111hp (with rounding!) @ 5600 rpm, 119 lbft torque @ 3200 rpm (both at flywheel) and revs sweetly up to 6000. Up from 106 @ 5300 and totally choking up at 5500. Only changes were the redesigned inlet manifold and the exhaust collector. They have really got it breathing nicely (I would have liked to have tried them separately, but not practical, but the overall result is a win, so I'm happy). As always, huge thank you to Peter Burgess for his time and patience with this whole mad endeavour. He will be glad to know I think I am now done! ;-) Cheers, Malc. ![]() |

Nice one Malcolm--Always good to get a well deserved result. Then, you can hardly go wrong with Peter on board. The car would be feeling quite strong I'd guess at that Next sprint day should be interesting, |

There is always stuff to do! Just not as novel and exciting. House refurbishments. Finish the Alfa. Maybe build a big bore 1300 rev happy engine... Hope you are well. Malc. |
