MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 1500 Heater Fresh Air Trunking
I believe the fresh air trunking for the 1500 heater is no longer available new. Does anyone have any tips or photos of alternative setups to share? Many Thanks R Simpson |

Minis had some trunking that is sort of the same. How different is a 1275 one? or there's the bling option of aluminium tumble drier ducting. |

I've a couple of secondhand ones here if you want original... mgsmithy AT yahoo co uk |

Which bit do you mean. I got the 4" dia flexible duct (for the engine bay) from Sussex Classic Car Parts - 11 quid. I got the small ducting for the screen vents from Moss - also very cheap |

Main fresh air intake; 1275 and 1500 are different, the 1500 part is NLS. However Moss show the 1275 part as a 'replacement' for the NLS 1500 one, so my interpretation of that is 'may be bodged to fit'. http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewProducts.aspx?PlateIndexID=1424 |

Folks thanks for the responses. The 4" (internal) dia flexible duct in the engine bay is a little different in the 1500 in that it ends in a plain section at the grill end. The plain section has a smaller outer diameter than the ribbed section which helps it fit into what is a very tight area. I believe the duct is pretty much the same as the one for the 1275 but is also that bit longer due to the plain section. Thanks |

if you're not into originality would something from the laundry or plumbing section perhaps do(?) (reducer? m/f fitting? - I've no really idea as I avoid DIY type places as much as I can) |
