MG Midget and Sprite Technical - 1500 rocker shaft plugs

Morning all

Last night I bought a new rocker shaft for my 1500 amongst a whole load of other odds and sods.

Anyway, this morning realised I forgot to buya acouple of end plugs for the shaft. Any body have a clue what they actually are? I.e grub screw? Just a plug you hammer in? And can I just make my own from Kleenex and chewing gum? (Or will I stand a chance of removing them from my old shaft? I can't see what they look like as the ends are so gummed up!)

Thanks all, keeping you all sharp with a question probably no one has ever asked!

Are there any internal threads in the shaft?

This link might help? ~ It looks like the plugs and screws are separate items.

Thanks for the responses guys.

For the record/archive it is just a grub screw in each end. Also when a supplier says "rocker shaft without plugs" they lie, it comes with the wee plugs so no worries!

Cheers,
Malc.
