Hello adlist, tables1 Just wondered if you have checked all the contacts on the tacho and the coil. Its run by the coil low voltage side sending pulses to the tacho. Also the earth therefore needs to be good from the tacho. If checking the wireing and referring to a diagram ensure its the correct diagram for your car. If you have the correct drivers handbook it is in there or be carful to select the 1975 UK or US / Californian one. Just as a help - if your car is started and remains stood still and you are not used to it the tacho often does not 'wake up' until you rev the engine or you can tap (bang) the edge of the dash board to make it jump into life. Once 'alive' it will register quite low revs. For example mine won't reg tickover just after starting unless I tap the dash however tickover shows easily once the tacho has woke up like when waiting at lights. Hope this helps. Cheers Dave |
