MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Bl**dy Door Handle !!!
Help please. Has anyone discovered a way to tighten up the exterior door handle plunger, that doesn't require removing the window itself ? |

Can you remove the catch from the back of the door and get to it through there? |

I've taken off the whole of the interior of the door, but the position of the supporting channel for the base of the window, with the window fully up, coupled with the limited access and my pork sausages for fingers, looks like it's window out. |

I meant the actual catch on the back of the door, by the B post. The plunger pushes on the plate (arrowed) so ought to be accessible. ![]() |

Thanks for that Dave, as I'd lost all sense of reason. I'll give it a try. |

Exactly as Dave says. Take out the lock and it's easy to get to it. |

Good luck graham Ive been there...it sucks...this is why jack danials makes hard whiskey and not cool aid Prop |

Thanks to all, Job done, door plunger doesn't look like it's going to fly off like a Sidewinder missile. Dave / Lawrence, Yes, the door lock gave easy access. Just shows what you can do when you don't get stressed and keep an open mind. Prop, I'm now off to see my mate Ron Bacardi. |
