MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Dynamo Nut
Can anybody tell me what the thread is on the larger of the two posts? 7/16" UNF is too fine. |

Nick, I am not 100%, but I believe 1/4" BSF in brass. Richard |

Electrical stuff is often BA. I have a box of random nuts and bolts salvaged from junk for such occasions! |

Exactly what my old car mate had, Adrian! He took my dynamo home last night and went to his 'medium' box, and found me a nut very quickly. Thanks, all. Less good news on alignment - the dynamo pulley is sitting nearly 1/16" forward of the other two (which line up perfectly with each other). Either it was always like that, or the new water pump is not exactly right. |

Well if a 1/4" BSF nuts fits then it might be 0BA which would be 6mm OD and 25.4 TPI whereas 1/4" BSF is 26 TPI so quite close. |
