MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Engine Bay Layout detail?

HELP!!!!!
Now that I've got my car back from the bodyshop, I very much realise that the notes I made about the layout of engine bay components were very much lacking in detail :(
Can someone please post some pics of the layout of the drivers side wiring loom runs, the clutch hydraulic pipe run, the fusebox location - all for a 1275 RHD vehicle.
In fact any pics of a relatively clean 1275 engine bay would be appreciated - thanks!

which 1275, early or late? - the clutch pipe changed, as did the fusebox (2 or 4 fuses) also heater type, and other details.
ETA - is it the one in your profile pic? (i.e. the late type)

I did a Heritage rebuild so did lots of notes and pics and still struggled also.

Attached are a couple of my rough sketches that I hope may help (if you can read my writing !).
They also show the clutch/brake pipe route and clips etc as original.

I will also try and post some pics also - the brake route on the pics is different to the original as I now have fitted a servo.

My car was an Oct '72 so should be similar.

I'm across the water from you in Clevedon if you want to have a look - I've got a lot of sketches and pics (not digital).

Note. I moved my wiper motor inwards from under the wing, to make room for storage. Usually it's under the wing.

I must have looked at more than a 100 pics online today of Midget engine bays and that's the first I've seen with the wiper motor re-positioned. Any downside at all?

Nope, no downside. Works as normally. That's where it used to be on the earlier Sprites such as my '66. I don't know why or when it was shifted to under the wing.

Might just give a try then (thought the angle of the tube might have been too sharp for smooth operation of the cable but obviously not an issue)

Glynn, note that Richard's brake pipe is the 'wrong' side of the pedal box - if you want to remain as it left the factory. Compare with Lawrence's pic.

Yes correct, I did note the change to the brake pipe routing in my first post as I have now fitted a servo and the best routing is then straight across to the unit.

If you look at my sketches and pipe routing sketch in particular you will see original layout.

Well, thanks to everyone's help and advice yesterday, I have managed to run everything back to where it should be and connected it all too!

At least, that is to say I have put all the STANDARD stuff back - I'm struggling a little with my after-market electric cooling fan. (Really must take more notes next time...).

What I'm looking for, is a permanent +ve supply at the fusebox. Is there one on the 1972 4-fuse model? If so, which fuse it is please?
(I haven't got as far as connecting my battery yet otherwise I could obviously work it out myself)

If you have a large current it is an option to run directly off the solenoid if you add an inline fuse.

This avoids any issues with overloading the original system especially if any dodgy bullet connectors etc.

I did this when I relayed my headlights.

Yes, I have done the same to supply my headlights too! Solenoid is getting a bit busy to add another connection, although not impossible.
The fan was previously supplied direct from the battery (via a fuse) but I've "tidied up" my battery cables now and would rather find another supply, if possible?

The brown fused to purple (7-8) is permanent live.

(5-6) ignition

(1/3 combined, feed (2and 4)reds when side lights switched on.

Well thats how mine is !

As my fuse box is fixed down the numbers are from memory - and that's fading !

The colours should be O.K though !

You have fitted the fusebox the right way, haven't you?

Two of the fuses are linked together on the back of the fusebox. That's where the red from the sidelight switch goes.

Yes Dave - I didn't interfere with that connection. Is that a permanent live (x2)?

From top down:-

Brown (Perm Live) to Purple (Fused Perm Live)
White (Ignition Live) to Green (Fused Ign Live)
Red/Green (From Light Switch) to Red x 2 (Side Lights)

Its the 2 Side light fuses that are commoned on the feed side (red/green fron light switch)

If you have moved the headlights to be relay driven with alternate feeds from the solenoid - the Brown/Purple has a reasonable amount of spare capacity as its normally rated to provide for the headlamp flash. So a separate in line fuse fed from the brown side would work well.
