Prescott hillclimb ... I heard the crash but couldn't see what happened at the time. There's a pedestrian walkway behind the fence.

Wow Geoff, what a smash and dumb accident at the same time.
Although it can happen to everybody but it does make you think: why?

Really looks like instead of the break he hits the throttle...
Fibreglass cars like Lotus's don't respond well to crashes: very expensive repair!!

The day I did the course a couple years ago there was a guy in a V8 powered TVR and while Russ warned everybody to take it easy/slow in the beginning he dicided that warning wasn't for him...
It was rainy if you remember the day and he smashed it into the rail coming out of the first corner.
