MG Midget and Sprite Technical - fuel line connections

I am trying to verify that the fuel lines and vent lines are connected properly on my friends 1967 sprite running the SU setup. The vacum line is also disconnected and I need to know where and how it connects. Some photos would be helpful. Experiencing flooding issues and would like to verify. Needle and seats look okay, but will replace if these connections are correct.

It depends on what emission system parts have been retained from original.

Pages 44-52 here might help - http://www.spridgetguru.com/DriversHandbooks/AKD7937.pdf

A paper copy of the relevant Driver's Handbook is always handy and there are various John Twist videos that include useful info, keep scrolling back to find more - https://www.youtube.com/user/Universitymotorsltd/videos

Some additional information. No emission equipment. Some of the confusion is that the front carb. float top has 3 ports, the back two ports. Presently the back carb. has the fuel line from tank going to one port and t's off (hard pipe)to the same port on the front cover. A hose from the second port on the back cover runs forward to the corresponding port on the front cover. This leaves one port open on the front cover, which in some photos appears to me, to be where the fuel line from tank should connect. Then last a short hose connects between the inside of both Carbs. The metal vacuum line from the Distributor is not connected.

Front carb has 3 "ports":
Inflow fuel supply, overflow and an outlet port that serves to connect a pipe to the Inflow port of the rear carb. The second port on the rear carb is the rear carb overflow.

Not sure about your other short hose but maybe it is the connection from the crankcase oil breather and should have the Y branch from the chaincase in it, mid way?

B Stone,
it might help if you put up a good quality photo of what you have.
Nigel Atkins

Thanks for the info. Will try and get a photo. Car is not local. Yes I think the connecting hose on the inside of each carb. would have a Y for crankcase ventilation.
B Stone

I don't think a '67 would have that type of crankcase ventilation, so the carbs could be from a later model.

Are there any tags on the float chamber screws with "AUD***" numbers on them?

Y for crankcase ventilation, from canister on timing cover to carbs, note the original plastic vented and filtered type of oil filler cap is better for venting than shiny bling metal filler caps -

Original black plastic type of oil filler cap with full venting and filter -
