MG Midget and Sprite Technical - FWB (Well it's Christmas!)

Does anyone know what's happening about the new generation of remanufactured front wheel bearings? I've sent a couple of emails but no replies. Is there any hope from Essex are are we back to square 1?

I found another NOS set over Christmas (with brass rather than nylon cages) if anyone is desperate...

Was it in Santa's sledge then? Where did you find that then, Ebay or in a shop?

It was a motor factor in Wallington near Sutton who had a couple on the shelf. The boxes were very tired but the bearings look fine.

Great hunting. Did you get them for the prices suited to the age of the boxes? Or did the shop owner know their worth?

I was in a local motor factors today, buying some CO2/Argon gas, so I asked about FWBs while I was there.

They had one in stock, but it was a carp modern replacement and they wanted £35 quid for it.

Anyway, they are an agent for Hobbyweld and the gas was £30 for 9 litres at 137 bar plus £60 deposit on the bottle.

The owner knew what they were worth but still good to get and build up stock for others who may need them.
