MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Paint for tools etc
Anyone found a good paint (not hammerite) that is suitable for refurbing tools like vices, clamps etc. The original paint covering doesn't seem to have any undercoat, but is really hardwearing. |

could be worth trying engine paint, and bake/cure in the oven. |

Surprisingly, an old fashioned oil based household gloss works surprisingly well. I think because it remains slightly flexible and also because it doesn't require the metal to be fully degreased to the extent of getting all the old oil out of the pores in the metal. |
