MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Peter Burgess Engineering

I know many have written before but I want to add my recommendation of Peter's work. Real Old School customer service and a real gent as well.

well said
Nigel Atkins

Sure ... he is great at that,

but he really sucks at building nuclear reactors and performing open heart surgery... he even kills house flys, just because there in the same room with him

Just saying ~¿*

How do you 'know' Peter Burgess?
Met him, Spoken with him? deat with him?
Alan
Alan Anstead

I wouldn't take Peter's advice on hair styles but then I've no room to talk

as for good old fashion service and a real gent - 100%

(unless your maths is bad or you're anything to do with Wendyball then he's 110% a real gent)

ETA: Prop often bigs up Peter, Prop is joking about Peter (but he's not seen the hair)
Nigel Atkins

Peter is not the only one on the BBS with that hairstyle (not me). Met him, and Troy, recently whilst passing thru Derbyshire to collect an IOW Frogeye. Just dropped in to say 'Hello'.

ive never meet peter personally...but he was a spiritual rock to me, during the death of my father 2 years ago, and I consider him a good close friend

But crazy hair or not... peter aint cracking my chest open with a spork to do a double heart bypass surgry on a dirty floor of taco bell.....hahaha

But alan, that is a huge gift of faith in your friendship to give peter the opportunity to test his theory of heart valve modification on you... your the man.

I'm talking about Peter's 1980s ginger dyed mullet (short fringe, shoulder length at sides and back) with areas of green with purple inside green

looks a bit like a Peacock that's gone rusty

I must admit when I first saw it I thought it was normally kept safely hidden away in a box in a dark cupboard

I'm not criticising Peter for expressing himself with this bold design of hairstyle but I don't think I'd take advice about it for myself
Nigel Atkins

Peter at work in his workshop, he is a great men a gentleman.

NOW I HAVE TO SEE this mop of hair

Please someone post a photo

A mullet is one thing, but this sounds like a whole nother dimension

Prop I suppose you will have to come across the pond and see if you can get "passage rights" from the Derbyshire hill tribes if you wish to witness the great man in his glory.

I think they will charge more than beads and hatchets though, canny folks up in the Peaks.

Better bring old Black Hole too, then something wonderful might happen...

Strange but true, I washed my hair last night(first time this year, whether it needed it or not!), fed up with the moss and rust from the unit and damp Derbyshire, so back to grey and brown and balding......just for you Prop...
:)

blimey is that what you look like now Peter, I hardly recognised you out of 'uniform'

has the ginger mullet been sent back to the zoo or shop then

all being well I will be able to spare you a lot of ZZDP to condition your locks and follicles

I wouldn't say it as I'm far too polite but my mate would say you have a fine head of skin there :)

Nigel Atkins

Thats great peter.... id never guessed your only 35

Ive changed my mind... you can perform open heart surgery on me any time

You can also check peter and Troy (the dog) who appeared on page 18 of July's mascot. I don't even know if peter knew that.
Do you receive Mascot magazine Peter?
G Lazarus

Hi Gary

Yes I was shown a copy....tis Toby not Troy, Troy was my partner when I was a puppet in Stingray.....agent X 2 0 (Peter Lorre voicealike) , not much paid work for shorties like me:)

Prop, Just packing my medical kit, will be over when I can get a better non blurry pic with no pages missing of operation off internet. Realising I am 39 but calling me 35 will get you anything :)

Peter

Troy's partner was Marina (at least that's what was implied). That makes you a girly or a later A series engined Leyland product.
Don't get me started on Gerry Anderson and his programs. I once had the pleasure of speaking with Sylvia Anderson on the phone and it was just like talking with Lady Penelope.
G Lazarus

I couldnt have been Phones, couldn't do the Geeeeee Troy, not a girly (since the op anyway), so elected for X20....mind you, with the crappy NHS glasses I had at school I was known as Joe90 :)

Fancy speaking to Lady Penny Lope .....respect.

Gary - was that a Spridget 50 thing??

Peter, I loved you in the film Independence Day. Shame that asshole alien strangled you! :-D

To put Prop's mind at rest, he was dissecting an alien before he was killed, so surgery on a human should be a piece of cake.

Those that haven't seen the film... search "Independence Day mad scientist"

Why have you got a rocket launcher on your garage roof?
