MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Replacing needle HIF 44

Chaps

Think I am running out of steam a little at higher revs so will try replacing HIF44 BDL needle with BDK.

Is this at all complex? Presume I just ensure guide is flush with base of piston, needle swings to front and do not lose the wee spring.........

Cheers Chris - just checking!

BDK seems very rich, have you a BBW to try? What AFR readings are you getting?

Peter.
While you're focussed on HIF needles, is there much difference between BDL and BBW ?

Try this website. A GREAT resource.

Thanks Rob. Very useful.

Yes....superb website, very informative. BBW was my first choice, but the 35mm inlet valve size, semi ported head, LCB seemed to indicate it could take a BDK.

As ever, I think trial and error is the name of the game - simple to changeout if I am wrong....
