MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Rivet for steel wheels

Hi to all. One of my steel wheels is missing one of the three hubcap retaining rivets. Does anyone know if these rivets are still available? Thanks, John
J M Hutton

You can get them from angloparts.com
Dominic Clancy

Many thanks Dominic.

If I needed one I would just machine one up but then I have the facilities to do that. Out of curiosity I had a look at the angloparts site for the earlier sprite which those wheels were fitted to IIRC and looking at both wheel related sections I couldn't see the rivets so any link to a page that actually shows them?
David Billington

I can see a manufacturer and customer situation here :)

Morning David. I checked the site, and couldn't see them either.
Unfortunately, I do not have the facilities to turn one up (or indeed the ability!).
Dominic - did you have a part number, of any further info please?
Thanks as usual. John.

Just checked Angloparts
Their part number is 152-044 and called HUBCAP FASTENER
info STATED THAT THEY HAVE 23 IN STOCK IN Belgium

Sandy Saunders

Many thanks for that Sandy. I'm on it! John.

The search facility doesn't like the - by the look of it but does like 152044 http://angloparts.com/en/catalogues/detail/13822 , it is listed as a MGA part which may by why it isn't listed for the Sprite which is where I looked.
David Billington

Dave, thanks for the link - it shows the profile, but it looks very different to the rivets on my wheels (see pic) -should I be concerned?
How is your lathe....... John.

John,

I did think the angloparts item looked a bit different from my memory of those buttons on my frogeyes wheels, which was like your pic, but it has been a few years since I had the steel wheels as I found a nice set of 5 Exacton alloys in a local breaker from an FSO Polonoez and adapted them and ditched the steels. If you can post you email I'll contact you off board for dimensions if you can measure the details accurately and it shouldn't take long to knock out 1 piece.

Hi David. Much appreciated indeed. john@jmhutton.co.uk
