MG Midget and Sprite Technical - size of 1500 wing indicator hole

Just doing some evening pondering, does anyone know how big the indicator hole in the 1500 wing is. I guess something like 6 x 3 inches but does anyone know as I can't go and measure it anytime soon.

The hole in my 1500 wing is 6 1/4 inches around the curve and 2 3/4 from top to bottom, so your original guess was pretty good.

Blanking it off and put in a mini-indicator?

Basically yes Arie. I have a pair of round land rover indicators. Just going to blank of the hole and attach them.

The wings are currently stored elsewhere from the car, so I am trying to do a bit of prep before hand. i.e. making up a template to work to.

Like the attached, but make an effort to hide the join a bit better (and use weld, not screws!)
