Frog Just looked at mine reads C39PV2 DA41 12V 22265E 5 60 The last numbers differ a bit but they. may be LUCAS australia not LUCAS gb ,plus had to read with a mirror. I know the starter motors differ oz to gb. Let me know if you want to sell it. Ed |

Thanks Chaps, I thought it may be Mk1 Sprite, but did not want to guess. Yes Ed, it is surplus to my needs, so make me an offer or keep an eye on eBay and you might pick up a bargain. I will take a photo & check the tacho drive is still turning. Thanks Again |

C39 is the screw terminal dynamo. Later Spridgets had the C40 with spade terminals. The last digits - '12 60' & '5 60' would be week number and year of production. |

Off the wall question here for A L SLATTERY. My old man was AL SLATER. His last known whereabouts, was somewhere in Australia. Are we related? |
Lawrence Slater |
Hi Dave, I always assumed the last numbers were month and year, not week & year ??. Lawrence - check your email !! Cheers |
A L SLATTERY |
Certainly in UK it was week number. |
Dave O'Neill2 |
Hey this is mysterious! Are you 2 related or not? |
Gavin Rowles |
Of course. He's my long lost father. :) |
Lawrence Slater |
Hey Gavin, Lawrence is winding you up - we are not related, just share an interest in Spridgets. Tony |
