MG Midget and Sprite Technical - What is this on my frog-eye?

Hi
Messing about with my carbs today, I found this sitting underneath, lodged in a corner of the chassis. I think it must have been sitting there a while as I don't think I dropped it, but maybe I did?
Any idea where it came from? Something on the linkage maybe?
Thanks, Graham

That's part of the choke cable abutment on the original dual H1 setup; Moss calls it "COLLAR, choke control pin".

See part #64 on this diagram....

The fact that you knew that, is clearly a sign of a sick mind that has no life outside of the midget world

Hey, thanks. Very helpful.
Maybe I should take another few bits off elsewhere and set you a complete quiz?

I have vivid memories of lots of odd parts that fell into the depths of engine compartments and took hours to find :-)

I started fooling around with these cars about 1968, so there have been a lot of parts dropped over the years ....

Thanks, Prop - I think!
