MG Midget and Sprite Technical - Wheel studs - extra long?

Hi

I am looking to replace the standard 3/8 inch rear axle wheel studs (2A7089) on my MKII Sprite quarter elliptic rear axle with steel wheels as the old ones are bent. Anyone know of a good source of standard length and extra length ones (beyond the standard 1 1/2 inch please)? I had thought that Mini studs fit, but they have too course a spline.

Cheers

I've used Mini studs on the rears and had no problems.

I also used standard rears on the front, as they were longer.

When I fitted 7/8" spacers on the back of my Sprite with alloys and tube nuts I just used either Mini Cooper or Mini Cooper S studs as they were sufficiently longer to suit the spacers and were a direct fit in the rear hubs.

Beware that longer studs also have a longer plain unthreaded section. This might prevent the wheel nuts tightening!
The studs seem to go up in 10mm steps.

I put loner wheel studs and spacers on my last Midget to fit modified alloys and got them from demontweeks.co.uk very helpful guy

I bought them at AH spares.
