MG MG Y Type - ACE TURBO TRIMS

Some of you may recall Turbo wheel trims that were fitted as after sales products to a number of cars in the early to mid 1950's. These included Y Types and MGA's. They were manufactured by Cornercraft of Coventry who also manufactured other forms of wheel embellishers.

Does anyone know if they are available as a reproduction?

I would be interested to hear from you if you can help me please.

Interestingly the Jaguar XK 120/140/150 had 16" wheels so you might try some of the Jag boys clubs such as http://www.xkclub.com/ and ask them where you can get them.

Yes I too am aware of Arden Car Accessory firm and you correct in saying that wheel embellishers and hub caps are supplied by them. Indeed the Y Register obtain them from this very company.

The turbo trims enclsoed the whole wheel and it may be that they still provide these. I have attached a period advert (I hope). The information is for an article I am writing. Thanks though for your support which is gratefully received.

Hello folks, I have a YA and have just attended the Enfield Pageant of Motoring (North London UK) where i purchased 5 ACE chrome 16inch wheel embelleshers but without the clips which I have been told are 'J' clips. Any ideas or information please. Many thanks in anticipation Peter
