Beware of illegal and unauthorized copies of Let there be Ys. David Lawrence has NOT authorized these copies and they are illegal and illicit copies.

The only authorized reprinting of LET THERE BE YS is the CD which is sold through YZ Publications and our UK agents NTG/MGBits.com. Other copies are not endorsed by the author.

Please boycott and report any other selling of copies to me.

Hi Paul, I note that this was listed as a used item so I don't think it is actually a pirate copy.

If you scroll down and look at the photos, it was a printed copy from the CD with cheap binding. It was not a used copy of the printed book. The same seller is also looking to offload his CD copy, so if it goes we should see no more breaches of copyright from this individual.

Tony is right. The ability to print from the CD is so that you, as an owner, can print off pages you need for your immediate use, be they from Let there be Ys or the Manuals. It is NOT so that you can print off the book, bind it cheaply, then try to pass it off as an item for sale. That is an absolute breach of copyright in any country.

It was extremely kind and generous of Dave Lawrence to make his research and book available to us all through this medium and this printing of the book and its sale is a total betrayal of the trust and kindness of Dave as the original author.

I therefore sincerely hope that the MG Y Type community will please respect Dave's kindness and not subscribe to anyone abusing it. Sure, after you get done with the CD, pass it on to a new owner of the car - $35US is about £28 at current rates of exchange, so to sell the CD for £20 is OK I guess if you really want to get a return on a small outlay, but to then print off the book and sell that for an additional £20 borders on a rip-off.

I stand corrected! I only saw the used CD and did not realise that the seller was also trying to sell a printed copy. I have purchased legitimate originals of both the book and the CD and find them both an invaluable resource.

Does it clearly cover construction of the front seats?

When you say does it clearly cover construction of the front seats? - what are you looking for exactly? The book describes what materials were used and the construction in outline of the seats and the materials used as fill and cover.

Do you need seats? I have a couple of used frames, backs and seats here in Washington State USA. Email me off line if you are interested or require more info.
