MG MG Y Type - Brake Power Booster

While my chassis for the tourer is still in bone form, I am thinking of boosting the brakes with a vacuum assistance. I am contemplating placing it under the RHS front guard back from the usual wheel travel and protecting with a metal guard. My question is , does anyone know the most appropriate model and size , or doesn’t it matter .
I currently have a YA with similar pre fitted and can vouch for its performance.
Rob A , what model do you fit to your YT ?

Hi You booster might be a VH 44 but there are a few different diameters in the bores and valving giving different results. BOB YT4319

As per Bob - VH44 would be fine - I had a VH40 on a MGB and it was too much boost but the VH44 felt real nice.

Hi Clive,
Sorry for the tardy reply. I have a PBR VH44R booster. Works very well, gets the most out of the standard SLS drums.
There's plenty of space on the firewall to mount it. You can see mine in the attached pic, beside the battery box, above the Jackall pump. It's much better here than in the wheel guard, stays clean and undamaged.
Cheers,
Rob
