MG MG Y Type - Brightwork Trim on Dash and Glovebox Door

On my car the bright-work trim/beading surrounding the wooden dash cut-outs which house the instruments and switches is in a very poor state and is certainly not original.

Is anyone aware of a source for replacement parts or alternatively, can anyone suggest a product that could be used to fabricate new surrounds?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Since adding my question below, I have found the link to Craig Seabrooke in the Links section.

However, I would still be interested to hear any other suggestions that fellow Y owners may have.

When I refurbished my dashboard I was able to re-use the chrome trim.

I did toy with the idea of making the trim myself from stainless steel. My plan was to make a mould of plywood and an iron strip over which I would have hammered a thin strip of stainless steel into shape. After that some intensive finishing/polishing should give good results?

I bought new trim from Craig and can recommend him. Much easier than making your own!

Thanks for the recommendation Paul.

I've already been in touch with Craig but unfortunately he only has trim for the YT. There was no suggestion in his response that he was likely to have Y(A) fittings in the future.

I have had a quick look at my YT trim I got from Craig, and done a quick comparison with the original stuff on my Y and it is the same I beleive.

If anyone else out there has both a Y/YB AND a YT could they have a look and confirm/deny that they are the same profile? I cannot think of any cost justification that Nuffield could have used to have a different profile ... but I may be wrong!
