MG MG Y Type - Don Tonks
The latest Moss Magazine has an article on an MG collector named Don Tonks. One of the many cars in his collection is a 1947 YA. I don't see his car listed in the "Y's On Parade". Does anyone know of Don or how to get a hold of him? According to the article, Don lives within a few miles of me but I'm not sure exactly where! I would love a chance to kick some tires and see his collection some time. |

Can Moss help you? If you send an email to the Registrar although we cannot pass out any names and addresses if we know him (UK Data Protection Act), we can pass the email on for you possibly. If Mr Tonks then wishes to communicate he can do so directly with you. Moss may be able to do that for you. Meanwhile I will await my copy with interest! Paul |

You can download it from the Moss site here: http://www.mossmotors.com/SiteGraphics/Banners/BM_0503_Web.pdf I don't think his car is registered unless I'm just blind. It's a gorgeous car, too. |

Huge file size! But thanks - not my first choice in colors - bit to bizzar for me, but would love to have him on the website if he can be talked into it please. Also try the www.whitepages.com for a phone boook listing. |

Steve - It seems to me that Don Tonks was a member of one of the MG organizations down there. It may be VMG, but it is more likely, considering that he is in the Valley, that he was a member of the California MG T Register, which is now defunct. You might try getting hold of Bill Link, who used to be their newsletter editor, at 4911 Winnetka Ave. Woodland Hills, California 91364. Where ever Don Tonks was a member, he would be well remembered by the newsletter editor as his name appeared quite often in the newsletter some years back. Good luck - Dave |

Thanks, I've actually been in contact with Bill on a project he's working on. I'll mention Don next time I speak with him. |

Steve - Say hello to Bill for us the next time you see him. Dave |
