A second photo Paul, here you see my wife and I, photographed by Richard. Brownie points to anyone who can recognise either of the MG's each side of us.![]() |

Too easy. To the left of your car, as you stand at the front looking at it, is an MG MGB, and to the right is an MG Maestro. Paul |

OK - it was an MGA .. close but no cigar! But I got the Maestro right! |

Come on Paul you used to have a B Even though the small pic would not expand on my phone it was obviously an A!Though in fairness I have owned one but not a B! Two YTs at the Octagon AGM on Sunday and parked up with several nice Ts outside Coventry Motor Museum. Though I forgot to take a pic! Cheers Jerry |

Good man Paul On a non Y matter are MGFs very common in the US? The reason that I ask is because they are so cheap in the UK.You can pick up a good running example for around £1k and I acquired one 15 months a go for £2k with FSH, colour coded hard top and 41.6k miles on the clock. Its been great fun and did 5k last year. They are not scarce but a fantastic entry into cheap MG motoring. Reminds how twenty odd years ago Ys were the cheapest form of entry. Different era but a slight comparison there. It complements the YT and TC well. You must have a large garage to hold all your motors! All the best Jerry |

Jerry said: " On a non Y matter are MGFs very common in the US? But I was advised by two different garages to avoid them. Reason being is that the 'K' series engine has strengthening bolts that go through the head, block and main bearing caps. They are difficult to line up and cost a fortune when the head gasket needs replacing, (about £800) and head gaskets need regular replacing. That's why you can pick one up for a grand or less. Didn't mean to rain on your parade Jerry. |
