MG MG Y Type - Floorboards
Dear Tony Slattery Within the "Technical Centre" fold, one finds a chapter "floor boards". There is only the drawing of a cover plate and remark that you would provide the actual drawings of the boards at a later stage. When will that be please? Greetings from Switzerland Anton |

Hi Anton On Tony's behalf I know he is away currently until after MG TYme in Australia. I am sure he will reply soon after that if he is unable to do so before. Regards Paul |

Thank you Paul Anton |

I have spoken with Tony Slattery and he will be working on these in the coming weeks. Presumably Anton you are looking for ones for YT first? Paul |

Yes, please let me have the YT's first. The question here is, if the boards are underslung underneath the side panels (1), or if the side panels go right down to (and touch)the inner portion of sills (2). (1) This would actually mean, that when taking out the floorboards, one would have to remove the side panels first. (2) This means, tha floorboards can be removed, with the side panels remaining in place. |

Hi Anton The floorboards are almost full width so the inner panels actually stop just short of the floor and do not contact the sills. Since in order to remove the floor you need to remove the gearbox cover and transmission tunnel you then have enough room to remove the floor boards without having to remove the side panels. Paul |

Thank you Paul, this makes sense. By the way: how thick are the boards? |
