MG MG Y Type - Front number plate bracket

I have recently bought a YB, almost restored by the last owner, but needing some finishing. I need a few parts, which I am gradually acquiring. One part that seems elusive is the support bracket for the front number plate. Mine is currently secured only by the central bolt on the front bumper. This may be advantageous as it can be rotated to be upside down, possibly confusing the speed cameras!
I am sure that the bracket is a simple thing that can be made fairly easily. It need not be perfect as it does not show.
Firstly, does anyone have a spare bracket?
Secondly, if no one can offer a bracket, does anyone have a drawing, or scaleable photograph of the bracket from which I can make one?

Unless you are speeding in reverse ...

Any way, to answer your question, the front number plate was originally held in place by two little brackets about an inch long roughly shaped like a > with a vertical piece hanging below.

I will post a more detailed picture/diagram later today - its currently 3:30 am here so excuse me for not doing it now.

OK - I never claimed to be a qualified technical drawer so take this with a pinch of salt!

This is a bracket that I have now found on three very original and unmolested cars' front bumpers so I am guessing it is an original.

Many thanks. You are over modest about your drawing skills.

I had thought that the bracket was more complicated. I think that I will reduce the thickness of the metal for a DIY manufacture. 3mm plate will be difficult to fold with my limited facilities.

It might be helpful to others if you out the drawing on the website with the other parts drawings. I have found these useful - I will use the gear gaiter and retaining ring shortly to make missing parts.

If you have a propane heat gun 3mm mild steel will be relatively easy to fold.

Another easy tip is if you have a die grinder, score the metal on the INSIDE of the fold you wish to make. The sharper the angle the deeper you will need to score with the die grinder. Score all the way across the piece.

My suggestion again so that you get symetrical shapes, is to mark up your sheet and cut out the two hangers as one piece intially then score and fold the two pieces as one, then use the die grinder to split the two.

I have managed to get a local steel fabricator, with whom I have a good professional relationship, to bend up a length of steel to your sketch. Hopefully, there will be some surplus if anyone else needs brackets.

That sounds good. Let us know how it goes and glad to have helped.
