MG MG Y Type - fuel gauge doesn t work
after changing to negative earth haven t tought about it before i changed to negative earth what can i do i don t want to change back to positive earth because i have some LED inside or is the sender damaged |

They are simple units, consisting of little more than a bi-metal strip which bends when heated fed by a variable resistor in the tank. Ian |

Paul Barrow the gauge should work after conversion, so i have to check the wires next week |

I just changed my YB to negative earth and it made no difference to the operation of the fuel gauge, only had to swap the wires over on the amp gauge. |

Have you checked the float in the tank It could be full of fuel cheers Ian |
