MG MG Y Type - Fuel lines
Hi Gents, can anyone tell me the thread type that exists for the fuel line from the tank. I am going to run a new line in Copper to the front. Thanks in anticipation. Clive YT ![]() |

You don t have the old connection? you can reuse them |

Thanks Franz , the decrepit car when purchased didn’t have the fuel line intact, hence the question. I have a connector from Carbies of the same thread and will start the hunt locally through various suppliers. Will let you know when I get there. Clive |

It's almost bound to be BSP Clive. Unfortunately the specs for BSP can be quite confusing even before considering whether it is parallell or tapered. Ian |

Clive Take your tank to Pertek and get them to check the thread. Or alternatively if your tank is still insitu compare your fuel pump fittings to the thread and if it is the same take the pump to them. I recently had their Bayswater store make up fuel lines for my MGA Twin Cam and that was BSP. cheers Ian |

Try IFS in Victoria, The company make brass fittings and the boys in Brisbane are experts, |

BSP is still used on modern plumbing fitting, over here at least, maybe your local plumbers merchant can help. Ian |
