MG MG Y Type - Gear stick

Ordinarily I hate when someone sucks up space on a BBS to promote their own auctions and pushes useful threads down the list. However, I don't mind it one bit with rare cars and parts such as these.

Absolutely right, under normal circumstances, but in cases like these, such as the scarcity of parts for our wonderful machines, I too am not too fused as it helps spread the word and not everyone who looks at our BBS or the website is a member at eBay -s trange though that may seem, until they see something that they need/want! At least is how I started on eBay!!

If, however, someone posts a malicious or offensive thread or reply - let me know and I will have the BBS administrator pull it down as soon as possible.

Sorry if I didn't word it right, I was trying to say that I am glad he posted that here. These cars are rare and so are the parts so I don't mind him posting that here one bit.

Did the Y type gear knob have the gate shown on the top ? I wondered if it was the same as my VA - ie reverse is over to the right and back - anybody conform these 2 answers ?

Mark, you are correct - yes and yes. It did have markings and it was right and back.

A morris minor 1000 has the same knob as a Y Type.
