MG MG Y Type - if someone needs some parts.....

i will get some laser cut parts for my ya
the clips for the fuel line and the holder for the spring in the back,
it is rusty so i will cut the bad part off and make it new, no part available

i made a 3d and sent it to a laser shop.....
will make some more, because nearly the same price

the fuel line clips will be about 1,20 in stainless steel, i get a prototype next week

the other part in 3mm st37, perhaps they will make the edge too. will be about 10 euro for one part

+ shipping ;-) 6-10 Euro ?? UK / USA

The clips would be good if the stainless alloy is soft enough to bend to shape. These clips are the same as TD and are available last time I looked.

I would think it risky to make the spring hanger in stainless & try to weld it to the mild steel chassis - why not make them in mild steel ?.

following Tony's comment, the questions are:-

What alloy is proposed (I trustingly assumed it would be well chosen) for these,
And how do they compare with the Moss TD ones.

Perhaps there might be a small advantage in shaping them up individually, as this might allow that several sizes of cable/pipes could be accommodated.

than i will see how it works
where i have to make some changes and so on
perhaps i take some glue to fix it to the chassis

will make some pictures and tell how it works

the moss part is 6 pound per part, need a lot of them...., so 30 = 180 + shipping....

here my first 3d made formed sheet metal part for the YA
made with freecad, exported as in step format
and cutworks.com will cut it
and will form also the cnc edge, so i hope perfect part

so if someone has the same problem in the back, here it is possible to get a perfect part
i hope so
but i will try it before on my car
one side isn t good so i will make it new, now the chassis is empty and it is easy
in the last month i have learned a lot with freecad and i can print now in petg pla and abs also resin with a sla printer

and have found a laser cutter making the steel parts
great what we can do today

here are the first pictures of the fuel line clips
here in steel
but it get it in 1 or 2 weeks in chrome steel stainlees polishes
easy to bend it and sitting perfect i hope i can make it for 2 euros, but you have to bend it, but i will show how to do it

will sent worldwide fot the price i get from dhl but in the moment difficult of corona

i hope i get the parts at the end of nex week
so you see what you get.
First i have orderd 30 to see if they fit as good as the prototype

my chassis is painted now, and a lot of parts have got the first paint, so less dirt every step ;-)

also i made good progress with the silicone mould to make my own wishbone bush , next step is to make a muld for the shock link

my wife asked my last year, what will you do with the 3d printer...
first i made a part for her kitchen machine, so she doesn t ask anymore

the fuel clip holder is for the fuel line the brake line the electric wires and the jack all....
so you need a lot of them

they are made from stainless steel 0,8mm fits perfect and are easy to edge them, will explain how to do it, will cost 2,50 euros plus shipping, but you have to edge them, so shipping is easy and sheap

the part for the spring in the back, i think a lot of cars have problems there is not available at any store, so i made a 3d model and give it to a factory, i can sell it for 30 euro for one, 50 for two plus shipping.
