MG MG Y Type - In Harm's Way
My Grandson, Sam, a college student, a member of The Georgia National Guard, and owner of YB0944, left this morning for Afghanistan. Between school and Guard duties, Sam has been restoring his YB, his pride and joy. Let's remember Sam this next year as he puts his personal life on hold. I hope to make some progress on his car while he is gone. |

Can I say how proud we are in the UK of our own forces and those from the USA etc for the efforts they put into keeping democracy safe. A lot of voices argue against our involvement but that's politics - the lads fighting over there deserve our respect and admiration. If only the politicians over here had one tenth of their courage. |

Hey Paul, and thanks for asking. So far, so good. He is at a desolate outpost in one of the Northern Provinces of Afghanistan. He does not talk about what is going on so his Mother (and Grandpa) won't worry as much. He has access to email and a phone that he can call home about once or so a week, when he is not on a mission, but it is expensive and he has to wait in line about an hour to use, and his calls are limited to 10 minutes. No store or px, so he sometimes goes without essentials, but he is a tough kid. Thanks again for your Prayers. Larry |
