MG MG Y Type - Jackall Transfers

I have been asked by another Y Type owner, where the transfers for the Jackall Reservoir can be obtained. Can anybody help me.

You can by the transfers from the MGCC Y register shop.

They are also available from NTG too Keith. The MGCCY ones are not as bright/glossy as the ones from NTG so there are differences. Guess it comes down to personal preference but having bought both I personally installed NTGs version.

At £7 50 our transfers are less than half the price of NTG £16 06. If we don't supply NTG they probably come from the same supplier and any colour difference will probably be down to batch variation.

As the volunteer member responsible for running the MGCC Y Type Register 'Shop', I can advise that we had the current batch of transfers professionally printed by a transfer supplier after supplies from a private individual who had had a batch manufactured for his own use, dried up.
I have just checked the original transfer on my 1949 Jackall tank and would say that the finish on that is matt. Whether it was shiny originally who knows?
I had intended to replace it with a transfer from what I presume would have been the original batch, but never got around to it. I had never noticed any difference in the 'glossiness' of either batch, but I can confirm that the original batch are slightly shinier than the latest batch, but are hardly 'glossy'.
I can also confirm that we have supplied Jackall transfers to NTG for a number of years.
In my view, it is sensible for Y Type owners to compare our prices before purchasing items that we sell - including other Jackall items - from other suppliers.
