MG MG Y Type - Merry Christmas

Can I wish all Y type owners a very merry Christmas in the true meaning of the occasion. Also would like to thank Paul B for all his hard work in organising this site and for all those who contribute to it by posting comments and providing material.
D MULLEN

And a very Merry Christmas to you David and indeed to all Y enthusiasts. Paul certainly does a great job with the International website for Y owners and deserves thanks, but this site is organised and run very ably by Mike Plumstead within the MG Enthusiast site.

Peter, exactly what is there to organise? by Mike Plumstead, apart from a server and platform. Simple concept BBS, the strength being the knowledge of the posts by the various contributors. Yes Mike offers excellent service, to all types of MG owners, see various threads. But by far the most posts go on the Y forum, which is compliment to Paul's commitment in regular updates IMGYR site, and simple interface between the forum and IMGYTR that most think they are one of the same
I can't help but interpret you post as back handed comment.

A merry Christmas to you all and may you all enjoy the peaceful company of family, friends and maybe even fellow Y-enthusiasts (and that means you too, Richard)
Willem van der Veer

Merry Christmas Willem. My post was just to put differing slant on post entry from Peter Vielvoyes which was a typical dig towards the IMGYR and was uncalled for, in my opinion. I'm sure Dave Mullen was well aware the BBS is Mike Plumsteads site but hey we will leave it there.

I entirely agree with you Willem and a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all Y owners, admirers and friends everywhere!

Cheers Jerry

Peace on earth and good will to all men, especially Y owners at this seasonal time. Happy Hannukah, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, or however you want to celebrate it.

Keep your contributions coming - it is your site. When we recently migrated to the new servers Mike commented to me after he moved our site that it is "one of the most complex sites" on his servers. Full credit to Y owners for all your input - it is great to work with you all and know you all. It is very humbling to know (hope??) that you all enjoy the site so much and get so much out of it. Do not forget, you can always add comments to the Guest book ... even if this in not your first visit to the site :)!

My thoughts and prayers at this time go out to the families of those members who sadly are no longer with us. We hope they find comfort too at this time.

Have a very happy and safe time,

Paul

This planet is a precision instrument balanced in hostile space and just a small change in orbit will bring disaster, it supports an amazing bio diversity, it is a true Garden of Eden which should be cared for. We should respect and care for one another for we are all fellow travellers through time and space. We didn't make any of this, it was already here. This is what that man Jesus tried to tell us 2000 years ago.

Happy Christmas Bryan

For most of this past year YB 1041 was garaged undergoing a complete bare metal restoration .The paintwork from the 1990s had got tired looking and various cracks had appeared in the cellulous paint due to too much paint being put on and I think heat from the engine .
Anyway I bit the bullet and decided to get the repaint job done properly and am extremely pleased with the result and money well spent .Pride in ownership for whatever length of time we have to enjoy our cars .
A very happy Christmas to all and I enjoy reading all your comments .
