Nope - they are rare and whoever snags this one will be getting a great deal. Expensive ... yes but better than the one hanging on my shop wall ... by about a million miles!

I missread this on ebay thinking ' I'll bid for this at the end date. But it was a high bid cash price (but isn't that what ebay is for?) and was sold sometime today for �200.I might have paid that had I read the posting correctly as mine is okay and that's about it. I guess when you look at say a TD or TF they are being sold probably somewhere near that price from say B and G or NTG perhaps. Moral 'strike when the iron's hot! Enjoy the rest of the summer!

Just for info I believe that the early 50s Morris MO series cars and the MM Morris Minor have identical steering wheels to the Y type except the MO are black ...not sure about the Morris Minor one but it looks close. Anyone confirm this..but I recall David Ransome and John Lawson mention it ages ago...I would be quite happy with a black one rather than spending a lot on a Y one if mine needed replacing. .

hello, i have a 1955 split screen minor which has a similar steering wheel but im not sure if the centre boss is the same as mg y type to take the clockwork trafficator timer. The rim on the split screen minors i have seen with different coloured tints. mine is grey/pink on a black car with burgundy interior.also on the split screen wheel it locates on a woodruff key as mg does but later minors have splines. hope this helps Graham
