Richard, Your second car is Y7043 which is not in the parade just spent an hour talking to the owner, sounds a resonable for the money |

John, Yes, sounds reasonable, though prefer car to be original, that is the only downside. Richard |

Hi Richard, not sure what you mean? original?? do you mean it has to be as it came off the line? are there any like that still around, people spend thousands on restorations, paint, fittings, trim etc etc and end up with a far superior car condition to what actually came off the line.My own car "Lady Hamilton" has only had a cheap respray thirty years ago plus flashing indicators a temperature guage and LED bulbs in the dash would she be considered original? By original I mean factors impacting on drive, ie original running gears, engine, brake system. Why uprate to 5 speed box put in MGB engine etc if you want more modern motoring, buy modern car. The fun is challenge that it's 30s design for use picturesque roads, use modern car for A to B everyday trips where old car not as practical. Things like better lights yes agreed worth doing. Hope clarifies what meant, my own view but one that's backed up by market, cars with originality command more. Richard |
