Can anyone tell me if there was a different transmission fitted to early YA cars? The one that I have l;ooks like a modified TC. It is short and the shift lever is bolted to the very top of the transmission. There is no extension housing.

The YB mentioned at the start of this thread appears to be the same one that turned up at the Spring Run on the back of a trailer.

I think you're right Andrew: from unreliable memory on a very wet dull day, the car on the trailer that day seemed to have had a much harder life than the one in the photos in the advertisement! Amazing what you can do with Photoshop....

Hi Tim
You are exactly right UMG 815 was at Charlecote.
The owner wanted £5k for it - so what Grundy Mack want for it as it is would be interesting. We'll see.

... and the answer is.... £7995! Repainted, yes, but it certainly looks like Ys are finding favour in the classic trade at last. And not before time, we can all agree.
