There's currently an MG YB on Ebay for anybody feeling brave or adventurous. The details state "first registered 26th May l952 reg.no. OKT 372. Chassis no. KB O460 (presumably YB0460). Engine no. XPAG/SC2/ l7387" http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MG-YB-1952-FOR-RESTORATION_W0QQitemZ200093428463QQcategoryZ29757QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

If only I had the time/money/facilities etc....let's hope it goes to a good home and does not end up as spares....maybe a classic car magazine could adopt it as a restoration project. I might e mail the link to Practical Classics! |

Does anyone know about how much it would cost to get it shipped to the States??? Arch |

Arch Depends on where you are in the US. If you are on the East coast it is much cheaper than the West. Also (to us US folk) it will vary with currency fluctuations, and whether you are prepared to'share' a container (40 ft) as they allow 20 ft for a car like this. Basic I think my company paid was about £2000 so at present exchange rates call that $4k, knock a bit off that as I am on the West coast and you will be in the right ball park say $3.5k. There is a link to a UK shipping company on the Links page who could provide a better quote. You would also need to sort out getting the car to them. Paul |
