MG MG Y Type - MGCC Y Type Spring Weekend 12th/13th May 2012

MGCC Y Type Spring Weekend 12th/13th May 2012 - Royal Forest of Dean & Celebrating 65 years of the Y Type!

Dear All

On the 12th/13th May the MGCC Y Register holds the 15th Spring Weekend including the Spring Run in the Royal Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire. It is also an occasion to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the Y Type. An event which is also being marked by the MGCC MG Live! over 23/24 June and at the Classic Car Show at the NEC in Birmingham in November.

The Spring Run has traditionally marked the start of the UK Y Type programme and this will be the 15th since the Golden Jubilee of the 'Birth of the Y' held in March 1997.

We have expanded the event to a weekend since the Diamond Jubilee in 2007. This year is no exception and we have moved south to the Forest of Dean. We will be based at the Hostelrie in Goodrich, where we will enjoy a 4 course meal in a Marquee with its own bar in the grounds of the hotel. This will be held on Saturday 12th May and timings, menus etc will be released later.

The Spring Run will be held on SUNDAY 13th MAY and will start from Goodrich Castle and follow a delightful route through the spectacular Forest of Dean to finish at the Forest of Dean Heritage Centre.

The cost for the meal is £25 a head and the entry fee for the run is £12.50. An application form can be obtained by clicking the link below or going to the MGCC Y Type Register site at www.mgccyregister.com

Sincerely

And may be completed on line with IMGYR version, therefore saving postage of the entry form.

If you bother to read the application form Richard you will note that we ask for an A4 sized envelope plus stamps to the value of £1.50 and a cheque with the application!

All that forwarding me a completed application form will do is involve me in more administration.

I have been advised that the direct link that I have provided to the MGCC Y Type site doesn't work. Well it wont if you click on it but if you highlight it

www.mgccyregister.com/node/19055

It will appear in the google search box at the top of your browser this will then take you directly to the Events page so that you can download the form, complete it and follow the simple instructions and send to me with an SAE A4 Envelope with stamps to the value of £1.50!

Straightforward I hope!

To echo Jerry's comments, you can fill out the form on the IMGYTR version, but this is only to save you handwriting. This is not an on-line submission form. On screen form completion is merely an aid to your completing it - it does not register you for the event. The form still has to be printed off and mailed to Jerry with all the other bits to complete your Registration for the Spring Run including your registration fee and your stamped addressed envelope.

Either http://www.mgcars.org.uk/imgytr/events.shtml or as Jerry says http://www.mgccyregister.com/node/19055 will get you to one version or other of the form.
