MG MG Y Type - MGYT door trim

I am in need of a pair of trim pieces for the door locating pins. left and right front. I am restoring a MGYT. I think these were on the YB and maybe the YAs also. Thanks for the help.

They were indeed on all Ys Dan ... and yours are not un typical!

I am hoping to acquire a Y and a YT probably parts cars so I will try to remember to look at these on them.

Hi all, I am interested in a pair for a YT as well.
Half wondering about fabricating them. Has anyone done this/

Sadly the purchase of the cars did not work out as although they were both beyond economic repair but the owner wanted way more than I was prepared to pay for two parts cars.

Frankly this part would be really easy for someone to 3D print and offer to members.

The Y/T had 2 pieces and the Y and YB had 4.

I have a printer at home ;-)
but
the part is very thin and the printed parts are fragile
so not the ideal part for 3d printing

don't know if it is possible to print it in metal

maybe I can find time to bend and shape it out of copper
this is how it was originally made
I have an idea how it could be done,

I've made a few things for my Y out of plain sheet metal.
should be possible
but no time the next days

here just for fun the 3d part, not ready, not the correct dimension
like this it is easy to print, but i think the layer will break if you install it in the car

Hi Just tried to make it in Cooper, 20 Minutes time, some Idea to make it better
I think it ist possible with a Hammer and your hands

Hello Franz, Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to do this as you suggest, might take a while though as it isn't high priority. I'll try making up a hardwood dolly and use brass sheet with annealing as I go
