Marc, Seeing the MG Show Room in London made me think perhaps "Little Gem" could be displayed in the showroom to promote history of the marque, or pehaps on second thoughts it would detract customers attention to MG GS onto YB. LOL Excellent site, will take closer look when have more time, but the event looked like great fun, proper adventure. |

Hi Ed, the website seems to be working fine. You could try googling "morewheelspin mg" - that should throw up the site. |

Funnily enough I asked MG if they wanted to use my Jacobs YB racer in some publicity shots they were staging at Silverstone to mark their return to touring car racing in 2012. I explained that UHK 111 was in fact the oldest racing touring car in the UK (it is the last survivor of the first ever touring car race at Silverstone in 52, the precursor of the BTCC)and that it won its class three years in a row. I offered to take the car up for free but they weren't interested. Mercedes, Porsche, BMW, Ferrari, Jaguar, Aston Martin - and even Vauxhall and Ford all realise that their heritage has a value when flogging new cars. Not MG. Maybe "heritage" does not translate into Mandarin.. |

Hi Marc , Fantastic to have such a photographic record not only of your own great Monte adventure but also with the YB taking part in the 1954 rally . Your YB ,UMG 662 ,really looks the part and the LEDs stand out with their powerful white light . It certainly is a credit to you to keep the competitive side of the MG marque going . Well done and congratulations and I look forward to hearing of your future exploits . Ed |
