MG MG Y Type - Oil Pressure Line Leaks
Where can I get some of the small I.D. hose which makes the bulkhead connection for the copper tubing which runs from the engine to the oil pressure guage? |

Hi Scott I had this problem a while ago - the pipe had gone totally pourous - I cannot remember but I think I went to my local hydraulic hose company in the finish and they had what I needed. You should also look at your petrol hose - mine had also perished - both were originals! Cant complain at that for quality and longevity! Paul |

Scott - If you take Paul's suggestion, make sure that the hydraulic shop understands that the fitting at the ends of the hoses are a British Standard Pipe (Parallel) thread. They can usually salvage the original fittings if need be. Good luck - Dave |

Fittings? My LHD Y hasn't any, just a small, original looking hose clip on each end. Looks like you insert a tool into the loop and turn it to tighten, or loosen. My RHD car has the same rig, and it feels like two pieces of copper tubing connected by the hose. Thank you |

Hi Scott I think (without going outside to the workshop - its 3:08 am here)mine is just crimped on too from memory. Anyone else? Paul |
Paul Barrow |
Paul, I think Dave was talking about the fittings on the tube at the gauge and at the engine, while I was preoccupied with the rubber piece! |

That flex portion of the hose if it is like my YA is exactly the same as a TD. Moss have it as part #376-060 Sandy Sanders |
