MG MG Y Type - Seat runner securing nuts

Can you still get the old type T nuts for the seat runner fixings to the wooden floor? Secured by a bolt through the holes in the seat runner. I am short of about 10. I know you can get metric T nuts with built in prongs to secure to the underside of the floor but the original type are much better.

Hi,
Can you post an image of the ones you are trying to match and the thread required. Some were BA and I believe some were Whitworth.
I think I had some spares somewhere from 1996 when I did my YB. I may therefore be able to help you. Keith

Not original ones but they are readily available here in the US Dave so let me know if you need any.
Paul Barrow

Here's the ones I need.

Email me with the number you require Dave and a good mailing address please

OK will do Paul - are they as per photo? Many thanks.

When I replaced my floor I fitted all new plated and SS M5 button head screws as most of the originals sheered on removal. However I kept the ones that are reusable but you will need new screws and gimp pins. I have about 15 that could be flattened and cleaned if you would like them. Email me your address if you want them.

Thanks guys...I really need new old stock ones with new bolts but if no one has any I will have to use the modern pronged type..pity as I have done one side with the original type as I had some that were sent to me ages ago.

Hi
Thanks for the image. I am sure I have some of these left over from the batch I bought when I did my car in 1996. I'll try and find them today. Did you ascertain what thread they are?
Keith
Keith D Herkes

Not sure of thread but I am sure I can get the bolts if you don't have them. Thanks.
D MULLEN

You are in luck. I have found my stock of them that I bought way back when I had 3 Y Types to restore. They are 3/16 whitworth. There are more than I thought, so if anybody else needs some , let me know. A full set is 38 I believe. They will be 25p each which is what I paid in 1996.
I haven't found any of the dome head machine screws yet, but I'll have another look tomorrow.

Email me and we can sort out details for the 10 you require.

If anyone is interested John Jebb in Essex tells me he has spare seat runners ...get in touch with him if you need any as they are impossible to find now.
