MG MG Y Type - Series E door

I have just trying to fit a Morris Series E front Door to my YB but it's different. It does't touch the seal at the bottom of the door (about an inch of in the middle.)is my morris door bent?
P/S A Vauxhall Corsa Bonnet makes a good boot lid skin.

Sorry to tell you at this stage, but I think they are slightly different.

Only the rear door on the Morris Series 'E' differs, as its closing edge has a 90-degree corner, ( easily filed round and welded up. I suspect your 'E' door has had a bottom edge repair, or your sill panel has been repaired. The front doors on the Morris 'E', MG YA, YB, and Wolseley 8 are identical. They all use the same 'hull'

The front door is different ,I have tried the door on my YA too and it will not fit that either.The hinges are even different cast on a morris so I swopped them for the YB ones but the holes are different as well.

Interesting problem. The difference in the hinges is interesting and well worth others having a look. I think, on balance you are making a sensible decision. New bottoms to both doors are available from Sportscar Metalworks - address on Links page on our website.

JUST FOUND MORE DIFFERENCES IN THE MORRIS DOOR AND MG DOOR THE WINDOW WINDERS ARE LOWER ON THE MG.I HAVE PUT A PHOTO ON http://homepage.ntlworld.com/john.arkley/new2mgya.html
AND THE PHOTO IS NEAR THE BOTTOM.
