MG MG Y Type - Sunroof i/d plate?

This (poor) photo of my sunroof shows 2 holes, passenger side rear - 130mm inboard and holes about 59mm centre to centre. Are these where the maker's i/d plate went, and does anyone have a photo of one they could put up?
Better still, does anyone have a spare they would part with?
Thanks as ever ... John.

Hi John, unfortunately I can't help you with those holes but am fairly sure the are not for the ID Plate. I have attached a picture of my plate which is fitted on the leeding edge and center of the sunroof, just forward of the T handle that opens the roof. It measures 55mm in length and just tacks into timber with very small tacks. I replaced the original tacks as they were ready to fall out due to aging timber.
Sorry to say that I seem to remember reading somewhere(maybe Let There Be Y's) that only about a half dozen are known to exist. For your sake I hope that my memory is playing tricks on me.
Good luck in your search.

Yes indeed John - very rare as Tony says. I am one of the fortunate ones. A car I was fortunate enough to salvage some spares from a long time ago had one on so I took that as part of the spares. The owner told me I could have that for free as it was valueless. I paid him for the other spares, then told him in my opinion it was priceless!

Interesting comments, thanks guys - I didn't realize it was a "Weathershields" plate, I assumed it was just a plain stamped or embossed plate, a bit like the one on the radiator. I've come across the Weathershields name in connection with the sliding ragtop (sorry, Webasto sunroof) that I fitted to the BGT. I think it might have been Britax Weathershields who offered an alternative to Webasto - so perhaps the name still exists in the UK.
Anyway, clearly I won't be able to source an original plate, so the sunroof will have to do without.
Back to figuring out the felt sliders, lubricated with candle wax/beeswax/or whatever! Thanks as ever ... John.

John- a question for you, via this thread: what material have you used for the tacking strips at front, rear and sides? Your sliders look like leather or felt, can you clarify that also? Many thanks ... John.
