MG MG Y Type - Wet Feet
Hey all, I took my son for a ride in the "YT" and got caught in a sudden thunderstorm. Wipers worked, "Invisible Glass" kept fog off the inside and the side curtains only leaked a little bit. My issue is that ever time we hit a puddle water was splashed up around the pedals! Question; does the "T" type pedal draft excluder fit the YT? Thank, Tom |

No Tom it does not. Paul |

Thomas, Do you have a dome shaped cover on the outside of the chassis covering the end of the brake/clutch pedal shaft. I will later send you a photo of the Y-Type rubber seal that fits under the floor on top of the pedal box. Cheers Tony |

I forgot about that piece Tom. I was thinking you meant like https://mossmotors.com/excluder-fume-dust-rubber and https://mossmotors.com/plate-excluder-retaining as used on the MG TD/TF. Paul |

Hey Tony, please send any images that you have. I was not aware of the rubber "dome" How is it attached and is it available? Tom |

Its not a rubber dome Tom - it is a metal one. This goes over the clutch pedal extension where it comes under the floor. These are often removed and lost or rotted to nothing as they were only thin metal. I have been thinking about remaking them in fiber glass. Paul |

Hi Tony, Can you please post the photo of the dome shaped cover on the BBS? It might cure my wet feet.... |
