MG MG Y Type - Windshield Rubber Gasket..

My question is if I am out of luck if I need a new front windshield rubber gasket?...Also, if they are available what is the process of installing it?..Thanks guys...

Marvin, If you mean the rubber gasket that fits on the outside of the windscreen frame and presses against the body when the screen is closed then you are not out of luck. I have recently replaced mine in less than an hour including cleaning the old one from the channel. A company named Woolies in the UK will suppply the rubber itself but I have also seeen it supplied by others. They have a website which you can find via the Y Register website through Links and under Coachwork. I gave the joint at the bottom a dab of glue.

Changed mine last year. Old one very dry and cracked, but did not let in water. New one looks great...and leaks. Beware !
