MG MG Y Type - Y-Type overrider on eBay???
This link was posted in the TD section, and one person suggested it may be a Y-type overrider listed as TD. I have never seen a Y-Type overrider up close so I can't say if this is one or not, but I thought I'd share the link just in case... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MG-1950s-bumper-guard-MGTD-chrome-British-TD-trim-nice_W0QQitemZ4584838118QQcategoryZ34204QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

Oops, the auction just ended. Never mind!!! |

Steve - No matter that the auction was over the fact is that this a great interactive website for Y owners around the globe and every bit of information is useful to someone. Let's keep it vibrant and entertaining! Kindest regards Rob |

Steve, I've just had a look at the overrider out of interest - despite the auction being over. It was indeed a TD item and not a Y type overrider. The one for the Y type has no large flange on the side. IF you would like a picture of a Y type overrider, I'll happily send you one. I can be contacted through our website under 'Registrar'. I hasten to add that Y type ones are like hens teeth - rare. Jack |

It looks like a Morris Minor to me. Steve |

Guys- I believe the overriders on my YB are correct. Could do some more research, but if you are interested, drop me an E and I will send back a couple of shots. As noted, they are slim and do not have the broad mating surface at the junction with the face bar. Safety Fast Paul YB,TDs,etc. |

I agree with Steve-looks like it is from a Morris Minor, it certainly is not TD. Terry |
