MG MG Y Type - Y Type steering column on eBay
There is a Y Type steering column on eBay that looks to have the slip ring assembly on it. There are no guarantees that it works though. See http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2465602214&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:UK:1 I am not the seller. |

He also has a Manifold But it's NOT http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=27380&item=2465635837 He had a air filter last week that wasn't and I emailed him to tell him but I'm not telling he again!apparently he broke a YB up |

NOT? |

Steve, I think John means that the manifold shown is NOT Y. The Y exhaust is bolted, not clamped. I wonder where the manifold came off from, looks A/B-series to me? |

No they were both twin carbs. I think the photo is a mirror image and has been flipped 90 degrees horizontally. This would then branch the exhaust exit port to the bottom left not bottom right, thus making it correct. If you look carefully you can see the casting writing is also backwards. If this is the case it looks more Y. Paul |

It's defiantly a Morris 1000 by the exhaust clamp and the one bolt at each end and may be the green paint. |

I'll go with that - the seller since emailed a better picture to me - still with the same orientation so definitely comes off the wrong side of the engine to be XPAG. Very likely therefore to be A Series. Paul |

Anyway back to the original thread - just over one day to go on the column! |
