MG MG Y Type - Y Types in Safety Fast

There are three Y Types in this month's Safety Fast. One is Keith Herkes' YB on our register page, another is Derek Moore's YB passing a vintage bus while entering MG Live. The third is in the cartoon on page 9, showing a YB which has broken down in the entrance of a vintage transport show, holding up buses. This I consider a scurrilous insult both to Y Types and their owners. I fully expect our committee to demand a full apology from the MG Car Club.

Try Page 23 for a further Y, the 1951 YA which was featured in the Main Club marquee! I wouldn't normally have minded, but after giving her a wash and brush up for the event, feelings might get hurt if she was overlooked.

Look, I was only joking, I'm as honoured as anyone else to have Y Types featured anywhere in the magazine. Sorry I missed out yours Andrew, especially as you were up at dawn getting it there.
I think I was drawn to the cartoon because I know of one Y owner who did break down in the queue to get into Silverstone.
